Night and Day Tag

I found this tag on Kristin’s blog, Kristin Kraves Books, and the original tag was on Ren’s blog, Strangely Pop Cultured. They sounded different and fun to do so here we go!
\(★^∀^★)/

DO YOU READ MORE IN THE MORNING OR AT NIGHT?

It used to be both because I would read when commuting on the train, one hour each way. Now I take the bus to work in the morning and try to walk back home at night and I try to listen to audiobooks both ways. However, I haven’t been able to concentrate lately so I haven’t been reading much at all, either in the morning or at night! I think usually I read in the evening after work.

ARE THERE ANY BOOKS THAT CHANGED THE WAY YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THINGS?

I can’t think of any right now. Maybe Yotsuba&! helped me see that children are not always annoying little fuckers but can be cute sometimes. I still don’t want to be around them but reading about them is ok ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My Brother’s Husband was my most recent read that helped me understand better other people’s points of view on homosexuality, how in some societies and for some people it can be really foreign and scary, whereas for me it’s super natural to be around gay people. It also gave me a better understanding of what gay people are going through, fighting for the right to be accepted.

YA OR NOT?

I’m not a big fan even though I’ve read several amazing YA novels in the last 3 years. I used to only pick up adult books from recommendations at my local library, then 3 years ago I discovered Booktube. Since Booktube is mainly about YA I put a lot of YA novels on my TBR but I got bored with them pretty quickly. Still have some on my TBR though, and my favorite book of last year was a YA contemporary.

ARE THERE CHARACTERS THAT YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE ARE REAL?

No, but I’ve seen so many videos and posts where people thought Taylor Jenkins Reid’s characters were real, I’m intrigued!

NOBODY TOUCHES MY BOOKS OR I DON’T MIND LOANING MY BOOKS OUT?

I don’t have many occasions to lend my books because 1) I read in English but live in a French-speaking country and 2) I mainly read eBooks and audiobooks. I have shared many eBooks and audiobooks with my brother but there’s no “risk” of him damaging them so it’s easy. I once lent my brand-new physical copy of Ready Player One to a colleague and he returned it pretty worn out. Not in a horrible state but not great either. So I’m never lending physical books again. Big nope.

DO YOU EVER SMELL YOUR BOOKS?

Again I generally don’t have physical books so nope, but I know it happened to me once or twice in the past (・ωー)~☆

NOT EVERYONE LOVES BOOKS…IS THIS A POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE?

Neutral, I don’t mind that people have other interests. If I can talk about books with them it’s great, if not we’ll talk about something else!

GOSH, I HAVE TOO MANY BOOKS! TRUE OR FALSE?

Both. Let me explain (^_<)~☆

I don’t own many physical books because I don’t buy books unless I’ve loved them and want to support the author. I also give and take some at the local phone-booth-turned-exchange-library but I don’t keep them.

However, my “Want-to-read” list for the library is waaaay too long so I don’t know where to start and what to read. But it’s not owned books so I would say no, I don’t have too many.

HAVE YOU EVER SPILLED OR STAINED BOOKS BEFORE WITH SOMETHING, IF SO HOW?

I always drink tea when I read so yes I’ve spilled tea on my books many times. Occasionally I read while eating so I drop food on my eReader (^^;)

TONED OR UNTONED? IN OTHER WORDS, DO YOU READ AND WORKOUT AT THE SAME TIME?

I generally listen to audiobooks when I walk back home from work and sometimes at the gym, though it can get pretty boring and I prefer upbeat music when I’m on the elliptical. But an audiobook while out on a walk is perfect.

That was fun! Hope you enjoyed it and that my answers didn’t traumatize you (★≧▽^))★☆

Thanks for stopping by! (๑•́ ₃ •̀๑)

see you soon
