I haven’t been around much due to tons of travels, family visits and being bed-ridden, but I’m taking a few minutes to do this tag that I was SO excited about! The lovely Sara @ The Bibliophagist created it and I’m so happy to give it a go!

I FORGOT THAT YOU EXISTED: A BOOK FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD THAT YOU DON’T REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT
The problem is that I didn’t track my books when I was younger so I generally only remember the ones that stayed with me, in good or bad. For A Series of Unfortunate Events, the only thing that I remember is that I hated the fact that they explained words all the time, I felt like it was aimed at much younger children and as a result didn’t enjoy it and never continued with the series.
CRUEL SUMMER: THE WORST BOOK YOU’VE READ THIS SUMMER
Huuuum I’ve read a few bad books this summer, I will go with the latest one which I just finished, Waiting for Tom Hanks. It could have been cute and fun, it was just cringe-worthy and I couldn’t wait to be done with it. Will definitely not read book 2…
LOVER: A BOOKISH RELATIONSHIP THAT’S PERFECT EXACTLY THE WAY IT IS
Simon and Baz in Carry On, can’t wait to read Wayward son!
THE MAN: A BOOK WITH A BADASS FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER
The Millenium Series, Lisbeth Salander is such a freaking badass ! She had a shitty life and really turned it around, way to go! Also, Noomi Rapace did an amazing job playing the character on screen.
THE ARCHER: A BOOK WITH GREAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I really enjoyed how Kate opened up to the world in Listen to Your Heart, how she pushed herself to try new things and experience activities that were out of her comfort zone.
I THINK HE KNOWS: YOUR FICTIONAL CRUSH
Henry in Red, White & Royal Blue is my newest fictional crush, yummy!
MISS AMERICANA & THE HEARTBREAK PRINCE: A BOOK SET IN HIGH SCHOOL
A Certain Slant of Light is about a ghost living in a high school who suddenly meets a boy who can see her, I think it is a hidden gem, at least I haven’t seen it on any of the blogs I follow since it’s a few years old.
PAPER RINGS: A BOOK WITH A HAPPY ENDING
I’ve been browsing through my books for quite some time now and I realize that I don’t read that many books with happy endings haha, but I loved that everything worked out in One Plus One by Jojo Moyes, especially since there was a dog involved!
CORNELIA STREET: A SETTING YOU’LL NEVER FORGET
French author Pierre Bottero had an AMAZING setting for his books, which were comprised of several trilogies, of which Ellana is the third. All of them were connected one way or another, all of them set in different dimensions that allowed protagonists to travel from one to another. I wish they would be translated into English, the books deserve to be read everywhere!
DEATH BY A THOUSAND CUTS: A BOOK THAT BROKE YOUR HEART
Without hesitation, The Horse Whisperer. So much heartbreak, such raw relationships, and so much beauty.
LONDON BOY: A SETTING THAT PLAYS A BIG ROLE IN THE STORY
The OASIS in Ready Player One is completely central to the story, I felt fully immersed in that setting and it was so easy to picture it, even if it was so far from our world.
SOON YOU’LL GET BETTER: A BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY
The Great Alone made me shed a few tears on the bus, I was trying to be discreet but it was tough!
FALSE GOD: A BOOK WITH A WELL-WRITTEN SEXY SCENE
I love McKayla and Barrons’ relationship in the Fever series, steamy!! I love a good chemistry between characters (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) I just wish this series had better covers, they’re not the best to sell the story ლ(´﹏`ლ)
YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN: A BOOK FEATURING AN LGBT ROMANCE
The romance in The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is epic! I was afraid this book was going to let me down because everyone was gushing about it, but it was utterly amazing.
AFTERGLOW: A GREAT SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE
I was wondering if I had even read one but then remembered I finally read Second Chance Summer this year. Not my favorite Morgan Matson book but I enjoyed it!
ME!: YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE BOOK
I don’t have 1 but a few, which have already been mentioned above. Another one I can think of is Fangirl, which I want to re-read soon (something I rarely ever do).
IT’S NICE TO HAVE A FRIEND: YOUR FAVORITE FRIENDS-TO-LOVERS BOOK
Again I’m not too knowledgeable on romance tropes but I think You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn qualifies? I enjoyed it, nice light summer read.
DAYLIGHT: A BOOK WITH A POSITIVE MESSAGE
A Heart in A Body in The World has an important message about overcoming tragedies, how to get back on your feet and how to fight for your ideas.
I really enjoyed Sara’s tag, it was a lot of fun! If you want to do it, consider yourself tagged and please send me a link to your post!
